A proponent of an active lifestyle, Dr. Armin’s goal is to help each patient achieve their most comfortable, pain free and active life.
Dr. Armin believes in treating patients as a whole. Therefore, he uses a multidisciplinary approach in treating brain and spine disorders through both surgical and non-surgical techniques. He is an advocate of using less invasive treatment methods whenever possible. Should you require surgery, Dr. Armin is trained to provide you the latest state of the art neurosurgical techniques. Additionally, he is fellowship trained in minimally invasive spine (MIS) Surgery and complex spine disorders. Minimally invasive surgery often means smaller incisions, and less postoperative pain and shorter downtime.
Dr. Armin’s distinguished education began with his undergraduate studies at UCLA where he was awarded numerous recognitions including UC Regent’s Scholar, Phi Beta Kappa, and Summa Cum Laude with Highest Honors. He further excelled while attending UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, where he was elected a member and president of UCLA Alpha Omega Alpha honor society amongst receiving numerous other distinctions. He completed his Neurological Surgery residency at Loma Linda University where he excelled in clinical and research endeavors. He, then, returned to his Alma Mater, UCLA, where he obtained further fellowship training in Advanced Spinal surgery with focus in minimally invasive spine surgery and complex spinal disorders. Dr. Armin is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. He prides himself in staying up to date on the most current neurosurgical practices and also enjoys teaching medical students and residents.
In his free time, Dr. Armin enjoys spending time with his wife and three small children. He credits his love for his family as the core of his care philosophy for treating each patient like family.
